When powering pneumatic ATC systems it is important to note that not just any compressor will suffice. ATC systems require a source of clean, dry, oil-free air. This can only be supplied by a “climate control” compressor. We specialize in “climate control” systems. Industrial compressors run at about 1150 rpm, generally speaking. They are designed to supply some level of oil to the tools that are connected to them for lubrication purposes. “Climate control” compressors run at a significantly reduced speed, helping to eliminate oil leakage. Additionally, the rings on a climate control compressor are designed to further minimize oil leakage in to the air supply. With the correct components, placed correctly in the system and a well-followed maintenance schedule, your compressor and air station will serve you very well.
