We build school buses for all kids, including our own. Since the first school bus rolled off our assembly line in 1936, we've followed one simple philosophy: build the kind of bus that we want our own children to ride.

That simple idea drives the way we do business, from the way we engineer our buses to be better, stronger and safer to our commitment to customer service via our nationwide dealer network. Today, one in every three children in America who rides a bus to school or an activity rides a Thomas Built bus.

Our current models include: the Minotour®, Saf-T-Liner® C2, Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley® electric school bus, Saf-T-Liner® HDX and Saf-T-Liner® EFX. And we offer the proprietary Detroit® DD5™ clean diesel engine for the Saf-T-Liner C2, as well as the clean diesel Detroit® DD8™ engine for the Saf-T-Liner HDX. For those who prefer alternative-fuel buses, we have a propane and CNG engine for the Saf-T-Liner C2 as well as a CNG engine for the Saf-T-Liner HDX.
